We took starter positions in AMGN with 2 shares for $477.04 and FAF with 8 shares for $505.76.  We also increase our positions with: 2 shares of ABBV for $228.08; 3 shares of MO for $148.44; 2 shares of T for $58.98; 2 shares of AFL for $112.52; 2 shares of OHI for $73.10; 1 share of PRU for $105.23; and 5 shares of AEG for $23.40. DIVIDEND REPORT :: MAY 2021

For May 2021, the Divs4Jesus Portfolio received dividend income from seven different companies (BMY, VZ, T, ABBV, AOS, TXN, OHI). The total was $179.34 This was a 27% decrease from May of 2020 where the total was $246.27.

The decrease is simply due to three stocks paying out in April this year as opposed to May of 2020 (CIM, MO, FL). Otherwise we had increases from all other holdings and BMY as a new payor. As noted prior, we except the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout.

STOCK PURCHASES :: CVX, T, PRU, OHI, MO, AFL, ABBV, VZ, & AEG

In the month of April we purchased a number of shares in companies we currently own in our portfolio. The following were purchased: 15 shares of VZ for $858.29; 3 shares of CVX for $311.88; 1 share of ABBV for $110.94; 2 shares of MO for $94.82; 2 shares of T for $62.31; 2 shares of AFL for $107.12; 2 shares of OHI for $75.84; 1 share of PRU for $100.25; and 2 shares of AEG for $9.24. In total we purchased $1,730.69 worth of stocks this month.

Dividend Report :: April 2021

For April 2021, the Divs4Jesus Portfolio received dividend income from nine different companies (LECO, GNTX, SPG, MSM, CMCSA, CSCO, FL, CIM, and MO). The total was $282.93. This was a 187% increase from April of 2020 where the total was $98.52.

The difference came from new or different month payouts from SPG, CSCO, FL, CIM and MO. Increased payments from LECO, GNTX, CMCSA, and MSM. And lastly, in spite of no payments AVGO and EVC paying out in March instead of April this year.

As noted prior, we except the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout.

STOCK PURCHASES :: CVX, VZ, ABBV, MO, TROW, T, AFL, OHI, PRU, AEG

In the month of March we purchased a number of shares in companies we currently own in our portfolio. The following were purchased: 12 shares of VZ for $689.64; 10 shares of CVX for $1,049.80; 3 shares of ABBV for $325.59; 3 shares of MO for $153.87; 2 shares of TROW for $345.24; 3 shares of T for $90.93; 3 shares of AFL for $153.69; 3 shares of OHI for $110.79; 3 shares of PRU for $274.27; and 31 shares of AEG for $146.94. In total we purchased $3,349.76 worth of stocks this month.

This large purchase amount used up the rest of the profit we achieved from our sale of GME in January. As noted in January, we still hold 1/2 of our original position in GME. For April we will be back to our normal purchase amounts.

DIVIDEND REPORT :: MARCH 2021

For March 2021, the Divs4Jesus Portfolio received dividend income from twenty different companies (AFL, PSX, V, INTC, SWKS, JNJ, SNA, PRU, EVR, WBA, HON, RHI, NWL, MET, TSN, LYB, VALE, TROW, EVC, and AVGO). The total was $1,298.68. This was a 526% increase from March of 2021 where the total was $207.55.

This marks the first time the Portfolio has hit the four figures mark for any one month. It’s also more income than the Portfolio received in it’s first entire year just a short three years ago.

The heavy lifting was done this month by VALE who paid out $979.02 itself. Last year, due to COVID VALE paid out their March payment in August, however it was significantly less. The remainder of the March dividends came from new payments from AFL, INTC, JNJ, HON, & MET. Increased payments from V, SWKS, PSX, SNA, PRU, EVR, WBA, RHI, NWL, TSN, LYN, LEA, & TROW. EVC and AVGO also paid out in March this year instead of April like last year. And lastly, in spite of no payments from F, or SPG this March.

As noted prior, we except the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout.

STOCK PURCHASES :: KT, BMY, CVX, VZ, TROW, T, MO, PRU, AEG, OHI, WBA, AFL

In the month of February we purchased a number of shares in companies we currently own in our portfolio as well as four new names. The following were purchased: 155 shares of KT for $1728.23; 28 shares of BMY for $1728.72; 5 shares of CVX for $496.65; 5 shares of VZ for $280.10; 2 shares of TROW for $161.37; 3 shares of MO for $131.72; 4 shares of T for $113.72; 3 shares of OHI for $112.86; 3 shares of PRU for $259.77; 30 shares of AEG for $142.80; 3 shares of AFL for $145.05 and 3 shares of WBA for $143.93. In total we purchased $5,606.03 worth of stocks this month.

This large purchase amount used up most of the profit we achieved from our sale of GME in January, which netted us over $7000.00. As noted in January, we still hold 1/2 of our original position in GME and the stock once again is trading near its January highs, we may take some more profits depending on what happens in the next few weeks.

DIVIDEND REPORT :: FEBRUARY 2021

For February 2021, the Divs4Jesus Portfolio received dividend income from five different companies (T, TXN, AOS, ABBV, and OHI). The total was $135.87. This was a 193% decrease from February of 2021 where the total was $398.97. As noted in the January post, this was expected as FL, CIM, and MSM all paid out in January this year as opposed to their typical February payment. Further, MSM last February paid out their regular dividend plus a special one-time dividend of $5/share which really boosted Feb 2020s total. We hope to turn things around in March and get back to seeing increases yr/yr.

As noted prior, we except the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month as the pandemic threw off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout. As such, the yearly total will be most important to beat.

STOCK PURCHASES :: ABBV, AFL, INTC, CSCO, MET, OHI, MO, PRU, T, TSN, WBA, & AEG

On January 29, 2021, we purchased a number of shares in companies we currently own in our portfolio. The following were purchased: 3 share of ABBV for $306.54; 6 shares of INTC for $335.70; 11 shares of CSCO for $492.25; 10 shares of MET for $480.37; 11 shares of AFL for $494.21; 3 shares of MO for $123.78; 3 shares of T for $86.34; 3 shares of OHI for $109.08; 3 shares of PRU for $235.14; 30 shares of AEG for $121.05; 3 shares of TSN for $191.28 and 2 shares of WBA for $101.36. In total we purchased $3,077.10 worth of stocks this month.

In January we also had our first SELL ever in the Divs4Jesus portfolio. We sold half our GME position for $7,208.84 during the wild run up. With an original purchase price of $1379.45 half of that would be a $689.73 cost basis for a realized return of 945%. We deployed some of this cash in the purchases above, but are also sitting on the close to $6,000, which will be deployed over the coming months. We still own 50.542 shares in GME.

DIVIDEND REPORT :: JANUARY 2021

For January 2021, the Divs4Jesus Portfolio received dividend income from ten different companies (SEIC, MO, LECO, GNTX, CSCO, SPG, MSM, CMCSA, FL, and CIM). The total was $274.08. This was a 167% increase from January of 2020 where the total was $102.76. The increase was due to new payments from LECO, SEIC, CSCO. Increased payments from MO, GNTX, and CMCSA. We also had FL, CIM, and MSM pay out in January instead of Feb like last year, which will lower Feb’s payout. And despite payments from AVGO and EVC paying out in December this year instead of Jan like in 2020.

We are excited to start 2021 off with another triple digit increase year over year. However, we except the year over year percentages to vary wildly from month to month this year as the pandemic through off the typical months a bunch of our companies payout. As such the yearly total will be most important to beat.
